The Bethel Park Farmers’ Market is open from 3-7 p.m. in South Park’s VIP Parking Lot near the ice skating rink located off of Corrigan Drive.  The Market will run every Tuesday through Sept. 29, rain or shine.

“This is our third season at this location and both our vendors and shoppers have told us that it’s the best spot we’ve had since we opened the Market in 2006,” said Bethel Park Community Center Director Cathy Muscato.  “We love that our location is central, offers lots of convenient parking, has easy in and out access as well as great visibility from the road so that those walking by see us and can stop by and shop too!”

The Market will open June 2 with 25 vendors, and that list will most likely grow.

“We will add more vendors once we have a chance to open and assess the layout to ensure that we are providing adequate social distancing between booths,” said Muscato.

Due to COVID-19, a number of safety protocols will be in place on opening day and include:  shoppers using a single, one-way entrance into the Market; hand sanitizer available upon entry; vendors wearing masks and gloves; limits on the number of shoppers entering the vendor area; no on-site seating; shoppers requested to wear masks; and no pets permitted, only certified service animals.

“We’d also like our shoppers to refrain from coming in large groups, and for those who bring their own bags, we’re asking that they bring clean bags,” said Muscato.  “We’re trying to make the Market safe for everyone.”

New to the Market this year, are:  Gluten Free by Kassiani (monthly), offering a full slate of gluten free products such as desserts and pizza; Lil Debby’s DeLights (half-season), offering a wide variety of bath and body products; Nothing Bundt Cakes (full season), serving up tasty bundt cakes; Sunny Bridge Natural Foods (full season), specializing in all types of healthy diets offering food and other items from their dedicated gluten free bakery and café; and Fresh From the Farm Juices, providing natural, healthy juices.
