The Municipality of Bethel Park will be canceling its annual Community Day Program scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12.

“This was a difficult decision for us,” said Bethel Park Manager Laurence Christian.  “However, we did so based upon guidance from the county and state as well as from results of a recent online community survey regarding the event.”

The online survey was conducted through the Municipality’s Facebook page asking residents if they’d attend the program this September, and the majority of the nearly 2,000 respondents said that they would not.

However, plans are underway for several community-wide programs this fall that will enable community engagement with social distancing protocols in place.

“This fall, we’ll be holding the second year of our ‘Live Well’ Bethel Park Wellness Series providing Facebook Live presentations on topics requested by residents of our community,” said Christian.  “We also have a few other events we’re planning in light of all COVID restrictions that we’ll be announcing over the next several weeks!”
