The offices of Planning, Zoning, and Engineering provide assistance to residents and developers on land use issues, which includes but is not limited to the planning and implementation of maintenance and capital improvement projects for municipal streets, provides assistance with grading permits, street opening permits, as well as, sanitary and stormwater management.
Staff within these offices also manages project subdivision applications, land development applications, and zoning related issues. Pre-application conferences are required for all Subdivision and Land Development applications. The office of Planning/Zoning and Engineering is located in the Community Services Department on the second floor of the Bethel Park Municipal Building and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Municipality 0f Bethel Park is an approved participant in the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County’s Vacant Property Recovery Program. Click here for more details about this exciting program that assists with the acquisition of blighted, tax-delinquent properties.
OFFICIAL MUNICIPALITY OF BETHEL PARK PUBLIC NOTICE:
The Municipality of Bethel Park is required to submit a Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) reduction plans for sediment and total phosphorus to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as part of their Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System National Pollutant Discharge Elimination system Permit requirements. The Municipality’s PRP and TMDL plans will be on display for public review at the Bethel Park Library Reference Desk and on the Bethel Park website (https://bethelpark.net/departments/community-services/planning-and-zoning/) for a thirty calendar day period starting April 12, 2019. Comments shall be sent in writing to John M. Quinlisk, PE, Environmental Engineer at 5100 West Library Avenue, Bethel Park, PA 15102 prior to the end of the day on May 12, 2019.
