Mark your calendars and get the kids ready for Touch-A-Truck – a FREE, fun family event happening Sunday, May 19 from 12 – 3 p.m. at the Bethel Park Public Works Garage located at 2490 Slater Rd.
Touch-A-Truck features lots of trucks such as towing, dump, SWAT, fire, Public Works, EMS, & more along with FREE refreshments, custom coloring books, and a 22-ton sand pile filled with over 500 gifts for kids to explore!
The Washington Wildthing will also be there to say hello!

Bethel Park’s new Splash Park (located at Park Avenue) will open on Saturday, May 25 at 11 a.m. with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony being held at 10:45 a.m. featuring local, state and federal officials. The facility is located on Park Avenue next to the Bethel Park Community Center.
The facility will be open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. for opening day with free rubber duckies being given to children while supplies last.
Regular Splash Park hours will be 12 – 7 p.m., Sunday – Saturday (7 days a week), with an earlier 11 a.m. opening for Seasonal Members. Memberships and Day Passes are available at the Bethel Park Community Center located at 5151 Park Ave. Memberships and/or passes must be purchased prior to visiting the Splash Park.
Bethel Park will be holding its annual Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 27; the event will be held rain or shine.
The program will feature a 7:55 a.m. Morning Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Plaza in front of the Municipal Building (5100 W. Library Ave.) followed by a parade stepping off at 9 a.m. from the site and ending at Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery for a service there. Afterwards, a luncheon will be held around noon at the Bethel Park Community Center (5151 Park Ave.) for those who participated. The luncheon is sponsored by the Municipality, American Legion and Jugo Slav Club.
Coffee and donuts will also be available for guests prior to the Morning Ceremony in Council Chambers (5100 W. Library Ave.) at 7:30 a.m.
